‘Are people moving to Connecticut to take advantage of our programs?’ One-Fifth On Medicaid.

As Connecticut’s budget is at the breaking point, already in deficit and projected to reach $1 Billion by the end of the fiscal year, June 30, 2013, one lawmaker is asking why?  The Malloy administration claims increased Medicaid costs are driving the budget deficit, as enrollment of low-income adults on Medicaid has grown in two years from 45,000 to 83,000.  In total Connecticut now has 671,550 on Medicaid or about one-fifth of the state population.   Because Connecticut is considered to have the most generous programsCraig Miner in the nation, it has led State Rep.
